Faith Formation Program
The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) program at OLPH Syro-Malabar Catholic Church of Greater Washington is dedicated to helping our children and young people grow in their Catholic faith and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through faith formation, prayer, Scripture, the teachings of the Catholic Church, and participation in the Sacraments, our CCD program encourages students to discover the joy of living as faithful followers of Christ.

Our Mission
Our mission is to work together with parents and families to nurture the spiritual growth of our children and help them build a strong foundation in the Catholic faith.
We strive to:
- Teach and strengthen Catholic faith and values
- Help children develop a personal relationship with Jesus
- Encourage prayer and participation in the Holy Mass
- Prepare students to receive the Sacraments
- Help children understand Sacred Scripture and Church teachings
- Encourage service, compassion, and love for others
- Build a strong and faith-filled parish community
CCD Classes
Our CCD classes are held every Sunday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at OLPH Syro-Malabar Catholic Church of Greater Washington.
The classes provide age-appropriate religious education for children and youth, with lessons focusing on Scripture, Catholic teachings, prayer, the Sacraments, Christian living, and the traditions of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church.
Our dedicated teachers and volunteers create a welcoming and engaging environment where students can learn about their faith, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to live as Catholic Christians.
Sacramental Preparation
CCD also plays an important role in preparing children to receive the Sacraments. Students are guided through age-appropriate instruction and spiritual preparation so that they may approach each Sacrament with understanding, faith, and reverence.

Our CCD program is supported by dedicated teachers and principals who generously give their time and talents to serve our children. Through their commitment, patience, and example, they help make faith formation a meaningful part of our students’ lives.
