Altar Servers

In the Syro-Malabar Liturgy, altar servers represent heavenly angels on the altar. They are primarily responsible for reverently assisting the priest during the Holy Qurbana and other Liturgical ceremonies, prayers, and rituals. This includes carrying the cross and candles during the entrance/exit and other processions, swinging the incense, and organizing the liturgical books used during the Qurbana. Furthermore, they help to prepare the altar and sacred vessels for the Holy Qurbana.
