Cherupushpa Mission League (CML)
The Cherupushpa Mission League (CML) is a vibrant missionary movement of the Syro-Malabar Church dedicated to nurturing the faith, leadership, and missionary spirit of children and youth. Founded in Bharananganam, Kerala, in 1947 under the inspiration of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower, CML continues to inspire generations of young Catholics to live the Gospel through prayer, service, and evangelization.
At the OLPH Washington DC Chapter, we strive to form young disciples of Christ who actively live their faith and become witnesses of God’s love in their families, parish, schools, and communities. Through spiritual formation, charitable outreach, and leadership opportunities, our members learn to put their faith into action while growing closer to Jesus.

Our Mission
The mission of Cherupushpa Mission League is to foster a missionary spirit among children and youth by encouraging:
- A deeper relationship with Christ through prayer and the sacraments
- Service to the Church and the wider community
- Support for missionary activities through prayer, sacrifice, and charitable works
- Promotion of vocations to priesthood, religious life, and lay missionary service
- Personal and spiritual growth rooted in Christian values

What we do
The OLPH Washington DC CML Chapter provides opportunities for children and youth to grow in faith through:
- Prayer gatherings and spiritual activities
- Participation in parish liturgies and celebrations
- Community service and outreach programs
- Charity drives and mission support initiatives
- Faith formation and leadership development
- Mission awareness programs and vocation promotion
- Cultural, educational, and fellowship events
Through these activities, our young members learn the true meaning of Christian discipleship and become active participants in the mission of the Church
