Marian Sangam
The Marian Sangham is the women’s ministry of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Syro-Malabar Catholic Church of Greater Washington. Established in 2011, the ministry is dedicated to fostering a deeper devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary while encouraging women to grow in faith, prayer, charity, and Christian fellowship.
Inspired by Mary’s life of humility, obedience, and unwavering trust in God, the Marian Sangham provides opportunities for women to strengthen their spiritual lives and actively participate in the mission of the Church.

The Marian Sangham seeks to:

Growing Together in Faith
Members gather each month for prayer, faith sharing, Scripture reflection, and discussions on Catholic teachings. These meetings provide a welcoming environment where women can encourage one another, deepen their relationship with Christ, and grow together as disciples.
Through prayer, fellowship, and spiritual formation, members find inspiration to live their faith more fully in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
A Life of Prayer
Prayer is the foundation of the Marian Sangham. Following the example of the Blessed Mother, members are encouraged to cultivate a strong personal prayer life while joining together in communal and intercessory prayer for the needs of the Church, the parish, families, and the wider community.
Serving with Love
Inspired by Mary’s compassion and spirit of service, the Marian Sangham actively participates in charitable outreach. Members organize donations, support families in need, and extend assistance to communities both in the United States and India.
Through these acts of kindness and generosity, the ministry lives out Christ’s call to love and serve others.
Pilgrimages & Spiritual Enrichment
The Marian Sangham regularly organizes pilgrimages and faith-centered retreats that allow members to deepen their relationship with God while strengthening friendships within the ministry.
These shared spiritual experiences provide opportunities for prayer, reflection, renewal, and a greater appreciation of the rich traditions of the Catholic faith.
